700R-4 X DANA 20(LONG WB ONLY)

Advance Adapter

The GM 700R4 adapter to the Dana 18 or 20 is 6.244″ long. And the overall length of transmission and adapter is 29.619″. The adapter material is 356 T-6 heat treated aluminum alloy and the adapter has a provision for a transmission. The adapter kit includes a adapter housing, 6 spline spud shaft, nylon bushing, bearing, snap ring, o-ring, seal, gasket, fastening hardware and adapter instruction.

Note: This kit requires a 2wd 700R4. Due to the length of this adapter assembly, we recommend that this kit be used in long wheel base vehicles only.

Transfer case

This adapter assembly will fit any Dana Spicer 18 or 20, Scout version with a 6 tooth female drive gear. The transfer case index to the new adapter will require an index retainer. Please I.D. the transfer case bore size (3-1/8″) small hole or (4″) large hole for proper retainer. Transmission

This kit is designed for exclusive use with the 700R-4 / 4L60 / 4L60E. The overall case length of the transmission is 23.375″, has non-removable bell housing, and a 4 bolt square rear case. Late model 4L60E automatics will have removable bell housing and a 6 bolt hex pattern rear case.
