Advance Adapter

This new adapter kit is designed for exclusive use with the Jeep 4.0L 1991-2004 & 1988-904.2l Wranglers to the GM TH350, 700R, 4L60E, TH400 automatic transmissions. The kit will require a factory Jeep flexplate 52118257 and a GM torque converter.

The adapter kit includes a precision cut and machined 5/8″ steel adapter plate, torque converter adapter, crank bushing, torque converter spacer, dowel parts, fastening hardware and adapter instructions.

This kit is not for use with 4L60/65/70E originally used with GEN III or GEN IV V8 engines.

Note: This adapter assembly is intended onlyfor the Jeep 4.0 litre replacing a 3 speed auto or 5 speed. 5 speed replacement must use a stock OEM 3 speed auto flexplate!! Kit cannot be used with 4 speed auto flex plate, 42RLE or AW4 flexplates and inspection covers

Note: The torque converter adapter we offer only fits GM torque converters with 10.75″ bolt pattern, does not fit TH400 11.50″ or 4L80E.

Required Options

When using this adapter assembly on the Jeep 4.0L you are required to retain a crank shaft position sensor. We offer a sensor kit that will retain the sensor in the stock location. GM automatic transmission bellhousing must be modified for fitment.

P/N 716138-N fits 1997-2004 4.0L blocks only. (5 volt system)

P/N 716138-M fits 1991-96 4.0L blocks only. (8 volt system)
