AMC TRANS 23T X DANA 18/20

Advance Adapter

This Jeep transmission adapter to the Jeep Dana 20 transfer case is 1.012″ in length. Adapter material is 356 T-6 heat treated aluminum alloy. Adapter kit includes a adapter casting, 23 spline x 6 spline spud shaft, gasket, seal, o-ring, fastening hardware, and adapter instructions.

Transfer case

This adapter assembly will fit any Dana Spicer 20, Scout version with a 6 tooth female drive gear. The transfer case index to the new adapter will require an index retainer & sealed bearing.Additional information can be obtained in our on-line catalog, Jeep & Scout Vehicle Section: Transfer Case Information, Jeeps 1941-79.

Transmission

The kit is designed for exclusive use with all 1980 & newer Jeep manual and automatic transmission that feature a 23 spline output shaft.

Notes:

Cannot be used with the Dana 18 , AX15 conversion due to transfer case shifter clearance issues.

• AX15 output shaft may require shortening due to a positive stickout.
