C4 X JEEP DANA 18/20 6 SPLINE (MANUAL VAULE BODY)

Advance Adapter

Our Ford C4 adapter to the Dana 18 / 20 is 5.00” in length. The adapter material is 356 T-6 heat treated aluminum alloy and the adapter has a provision for a transmission mount. The adapter kit will include adapter housing, new C4 main shaft, vent plug, gasket, seal, fastening hardware, & adapter instructions. This kit must have the transmission built with a manual value body; the shaft will not fit the governor assembly. If a fully automatic transmission is needed for your early Jeep, you will have to give up 2” in adapter length and order kit P/N 50-2904.

Transfer case

This adapter assembly will fit any Dana Spicer 18 / 20, Scout version with a 6 tooth female drive gear. The transfer case index to the new adapter will require an index retainer & sealed bearing. Please I.D. the transfer case bore size (3-1/8”) small hole or (4”) large hole for proper retainer. Transmission

The kit is designed for exclusive use with the Ford C4 automatic transmission. The Ford C4 is a 3 speed transmission was used between 1963-’82. The transmission bellhousing is

Removable, the overall length measures 17.00”.
