GM 2WD T400/FORD NP205 TC

Advance Adapter

The GM TH400 adapter to the Ford NP205 transfer case is a 4.232”. The adapter material is 356 T-6 heat treated aluminum alloy and the adapter has a provision for a transmission. The adapter kit includes a adapter housing, NP205 input gear with 32 internal spline, soft plug, new input bearing, snap ring, seal, gaskets, fastening hardware and adapter instructions.

Transfer Case

This adapter assembly fits the Ford NP205 part time transfer case. The Ford version is a part time, cast iron and offers a 31 spline female input gear, circular six front bolt pattern and a driver’s side front out put shaft.

Transmission

This adapter kit is designed for exclusive use with the GM TH400 automatic transmission. The TH400 has a case length of 24.250” and a “Texas-shaped” oil pan underneath it. The factory output shaft has a spline count of 32 spline and had various output stick-out lengths / 1.5”, 2.5”, 4.5” & 5” stick-outs.

Only TH400 with the 4.5” and 5” output shaft stickout lengths can be used with this adapter kit.
