Advance Adapter

The GM 4L80E 4WD transmission adapter to the GM NP205 is 4.00 in length. And the overall length of this transmission and adapter is 30.00″. Adapter material is 356 T-6 heat treated aluminum alloy. The adapter has a provision for a factory GM transmission mount. The adapter kit includes an adapter housing, new long input with 32 spline, input gear bearing, gaskets, seal, fastening hardware and adapter instructions.

Transfer Case

The adapter assembly fits 1971-84 GM NP205 with a figure 8 front bolt pattern, and is designed to replace the 10 or 27 spline male inputs. The transfer case will require machine work for the new input shaft in this kit.

Transmission

The adapter kit is designed for exclusive use with the GM 4WD 4L80E. The 4WD 4L80E must have a 2.40″ stickout. On GM 4WD 4L80E 1997 and later, a tone ring needs to be added to the transmission.
