Advance Adapter

The GM NV 4500 adapter to the GM NP205 is 7.375″ in length. And the overall length of this transmission and adapter is 19.250″. Adapter material is 356 T6 heat treated aluminum alloy. The adapter has a provision for a transmission mount. The adapter kit includes an adapter housing, adapter plate, transfer case linkage mounting bracket, transmission mount spacer, sealed bearing, 2 piece set collar, NP205 front gasket, seal, fastening hardware, and adapter instructions.

Transfer case

1971-1984/85 GM NP205 transfer case. The NP205 transfer case must be equipped with a 32 spline female input.

Transmission

This adapter is designed for exclusive use with the GM NV4500 4WD models.

Options

If you’re attempting to replace an SM465 or TH350 transmission this assembly requires the purchase and installation of a new 32 spline input gear and bearing. Machining is required on the transfer case.
