Advance Adapter

The GM Muncie 4 speed adapter to the GM NP205 is 6.00″ in length. The adapter material is 356 T-6 heat treated aluminum alloy and the adapter has a provision for a rear transmission mount. This adapter kit includes a adapter housing, new M21 / M22 output shaft, NP 205 input gear, bearing, gasket kit, NP205 gasket, seal, fastening hardware and adapter instructions. Some machining is required on the NP205 transfer case

Transfer Case

The NP205 originally coupled to a SM465 or TH350. The NP205 is a part time, cast iron transfer case with a figure eight front bolt pattern configuration. This assembly was used in 1971-79 vehicles. The new adapter kit will require the installation of a new 32 spline input gear.

Transmission

The GM Muncie M21 / M22 can be identified by an aluminum case that is 10″ long and a side cover with 7 bolts. The new main shaft included in the adapter kit will fit all models 1963 to 1974. 1963 models will require addition parts.
