POWERGLIDE ADAPTER TO ATLAS

Advance Adapter

The Powerglide to Atlas transfer case adapter is 2.32” in length. The adapter material is 356 T6 heat treated aluminum alloy. The adapter kit includes an adapter housing, crossmember mount kit, fastening hardware, and adapter instructions.

Note: This adapter is designed for exclusive use with a “short” built Powerglide.

Transmission

The Powerglide is a two speed automatic transmission designed by General Motors. It was available primarily on Chevrolet automobiles from 1950 through the early 1970s.

Although it is a very old design, the Powerglide still has a strong following in drag racing due to its strength and simplicity. Powerglides are also popular in mud racing and rock crawling.
