Advance Adapter

This adapter plate assembly is used to adapt a Ford Engine to the Scout T-18, T-19, T-98 4 speed manual transmission. The adapter plate is .750” in length and is manufactured from 356-T6 heat treated aluminum alloy. Included in the adapter plate kit you will receive a two piece adapter plate, new input shaft with 17 tooth on the cluster side, Ford 4.848” bearing retainer , pilot bushing, gasket, seal, fastening hardware, and adapter instructions.

Note: The T-18 input shaft we supply in this kit onlyfits transmission’s that have a 17 tooth cluster gear.

Note: This adapter plate design kit requires Ford truck bell housing.

Transmission

This adapter plate kit is designed for exclusive use with the Scout T-18, T-19, T-98 4 speed manual transmission. These transmissions were used in 1969-82 model years. These Borg Warner 4 speed transmissions have a long 10-1/4” stickout with a 1-1/4” 10 spline input shaft. The Scout transmission can be identified by a case length of 11.875”, and a casting number of T-18, T-19, 1301 or 1309.
