Advance Adapter

This adapter plate assembly is used to adapt a Ford Engine to the Jeep T18/T98 4 speed manual transmission. The adapter plate is 3.50″ in length a is manufactured from 356-T6 heat treated aluminum alloy. Included in the adapter plate kit you will receive a two piece adapter plate, Ford 4.848″ bearing retainer, pilot bushing, seal, fastening hardware, and adapter instructions.

Note: This adapter plate kit only fits T-18 transmission with an input shaft stick out of 10″.

Note: This adapter plate design kit requires Ford bell housing.

Transmission

The T-18 is a heavy duty four speed with unsynchronized first gear. These transmissions were manufactured by Borg Warner and they have a cast iron case. The casting number on the drivers side of the T-18 is T-18 or 13-01. The T-18 has a 1 1/8″ 10 spline input shaft and a 1 3/8″ 6 spline output.

The T-98 has a very similar appearance to the T-18 except a casting number of T98. It is heavy duty like the T-18. The T-98 has a 1 1/8″ 10 spline input shaft and 1 3/8″ 6 spline output.
