TOYOTA L/C 4SP TO CHEVY LS GEN3

Swapping the four- or six-cylinder engine in a Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40 for a third-generation Chevy LS V8 small-block is a popular way to increase horsepower, torque and efficiency for off-roading. By using an Advance Adapters LS Swap LandCruiser kit, you can retain t he stock four- speed transmission when using a Gen III V8. This helps you save money on your conversion project and gives you the benefits of each component for a major 4×4 upgrade.

There are two styles of adapter kits for mating the stock four- speed to an LS engine . Our 713027-EK Land Cruiser LS Swap Kit is the more comprehensive option, containing additional components to fine-tune your installation and get more from your conversion. Note that this kit includes mounts specific to the Chevy LS1 engine; however, you can get engine mounts for the LS6, LM7, L59 and other gen-three powerplants.

Elevate Your 4×4 Land Cruiser

Advance Adapters will help you experience the difference when you press the gas pedal in an LS-swapped Toyota. We manufacture a new bell housing that bolts the Chevy V8 to the Land Cruiser four-speed transmission for LS engine conversions. Our bell housing will require the transfer case to be relocated forward by at least 3 .5 inches. This relocation is required to add clearance around the larger Chevy V8 distributor. This kit also requires driveshaft and floorboard modifications. Be aware that placing the engine too far forward can cause excessive clearance issues with the four- speed shifter and heater vent. Also, most shifter handles need to be modified to provide heater vent clearance.

An LS e ngine a dapter kit for the Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40 four- speed helps give your classic 4×4 a modern overhaul. Note t his kit requires new driveshafts for the front and rear.
